At B2B conferences, capturing–and holding–the attendees’ attention has always been a difficult task thanks to the one-way nature of communication. But those who organize sporting events and B2C experiences have always understood that the key to building loyalty is engagement with its customers. One of the Education & Eggs sessions at The Summit will show how AI can be used to improve interaction and participation at B2B events.
AI, Engagement, and the New Economics of Events: What B2B Can Learn from Sports and B2C Experiences focuses on how the latest technology can help events move away from static agendas to build a new, adaptive model that can help deliver more relevant content and increase engagement, leading to higher rates of return. The panel will be co-moderated by Joel Steel, CEO and co-founder of Komo Technologies, and Sanjay Boddhu, a professor of Applied AIML at University of Chicago. Komo Technologies has worked with the NFL on the Super Bowl and the NFL Draft, and Steel will show how his experiences on those events can bring yours to the next level.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026, The Summit (formerly the Hospitality & Tourism Summit) will be held on April 28 at three of the West Loop’s most dynamic venues: Recess, City Hall, and Morgan Manufacturing. AI, Engagement, and the New Economics of Events will take place at City Hall from 11:20-11:45 AM. You can purchase tickets and register for the session here.
A combination of a networking breakfast and panel discussions related to the tourism, hospitality, and events industries, Education & Eggs, which includes a free breakfast, is sponsored by Yolk, your Chicago neighborhood brunch spot since 2006.
