Over the past 25 years, The Summit has earned its reputation as the premier event for tourism, hospitality, and event professionals in the Chicago area. In addition to the educational sessions, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities, the Trade Show floor at Morgan Manufacturing bristles with its legendary energy, as people go from booth to booth to see the latest and greatest attractions, products, and venues in town.
At the booths, you’ll be able to chat with a representative and discuss how you can benefit each other, see their products in action, fill up your tote bag, and sample more delicious food and beverages than your belly can hold. These are the activations that we’re looking forward to seeing.
Komo Technologies are bringing something new to The Summit: A game with multiple ways to win prizes, from a free drink at the After Party at Recess to gift cards and VIP experiences up to the Grand Prize - a three-night stay at the all-inclusive AVA Resort Cancun (courtesy of AIC Hotel Group) and a $750 airlline voucher. To play, scan a QR code at check-in, then collect badges by answering questions during the Education & Eggs session and visiting participating booths at the Trade Show. The more badges you win, the greater your chances of winning! In addition, digital "scratch-and-win cards" will be announced every half-hour during the Trade Show for more prizes.
Get a preview of our Presenting Partner, the F1® Arcade Chicago, which is opening this summer in River North. Their booth will have TVs showing what guests can expect, from their food and drink options to their simulators that allow you to feel the excitement of what it’s like to drive on the world’s most famous tracks. While there, grab some keychains, lanyards, and event brochures.
Be sure to stop by the National Concierge Association Chicago Chapter’s annual silent auction, where you’ll be able to bid on dozens of exclusive items that have been donated for The Summit. In previous years, this has included stays in luxury hotels, food and drink gift bundles, and tickets to sporting events. Proceeds benefit the NCA’s charitable and educational initiatives.
Always a favorite, Live Art International will have embossing stations where you can customize men’s and women’s bags.
As for the food and drinks, you can expect the following:
Lobster rolls from Legal Sea Foods
Filet mignon crostinis courtesy of Smith & Wollensky
Mini espresso martinis at Starbucks Reserve Roastery
Zero-proof cocktails and a tea-blending experience from Chicago Teahouse
A selection of ice creams from Kilwin’s
One of the most intriguing activations at The Summit will come from Botrista. They’ll be going around the Trade Show floor showing off their Automated Beverage Machine, which can create more than 2,000 drinks in less than 20 seconds. Check out this display.
Lastly, at several booths, you’ll be able to spin a prize wheel for branded swag. Skydeck Chicago will have notebooks, pens, and fidgets; expect to walk away from Second City’s booth with a t-shirt, hat, or keychain; and Ravinia will have merchandise ranging from koozies to tickets. Similarly, Dave & Buster’s Rosemont will be bringing a Plinko game to determine your prize.
You can purchase tickets for The Summit here. We can’t wait to see you!
